These new Terske titanium bolt kits are a pleasantly affordable way to add a little extra bling and even shed a few grams off your latest SRAM Transmission derailleurs. Ti bolts are always a nice lightweight upgrade for your bike. And they are often a chance to add a little colorful personalization to your bike. But titanium is expensive, right?

Surprisingly, these kits are available for as little as twenty bucks!

Plus, even if you don’t have the latest super-expensive electronic SRAM drivetrains, you might still be able to add a little affordable bling to your bike. Terske also does similar ti bolt kits for SRAM Matchmaker brake clamps, Shimano MTB brake levers & mechanical Shimano derailleurs, too…

From the same Lindarets minds that brought us all sorts of goodies to trick out our mountain bikes – from Wolf Tooth dropper remotes to Goat Links to neat travel tools that slide over your thru-axle – now the Terske folks have some more affordable ti upgrade bolt kits, too.

This is a pretty simple setup – either 5- or 7-piece kits of titanium bolts to swap out the stock setup for a tiny little bit of weight savings and maybe even a flash of color.

Transmission G: GX gets just 5 bolts, for a total weight of 4.5g.

You get 2 pulley bolts, 2 knuckle bolts, and 1 clamp bolt for your Pod shifter.

That’s a claimed 45% weight savings over stock GX bolts, or -3.5g.

Terske titanium derailleur (& brake) bolt kits – Pricing, availability & options

Both Transmission X & G kits are available now in classic natural titanium gray, stealth black, gold bling, and flashy oil slick rainbow. X kits sell for $25, and G kits for $20. In addition to the new derailleur kits, if you have a set of SRAM brakes, Terske will also sell you a set of matching ti Matchmaker clamp bolts for another $15-20.

If you ride Shimano brakes and drivetrains, they also have $20 ti brake lever hardware kits and $20 ti mechanical derailleur brake kits, as well. And there are plenty of matching low-profile water bottle cage bolts, too.

Why not give your bike an affordable titanium bolt upgrade. Save a few grams and step up your bike’s bling factor.

I think titanium bolts are silly, but these are pretty reasonably priced, I think. Or are they? I don’t even know…

I guess I wouldn’t be angry at this as a fun little upgrade if I had some extra cash.

For the most part, titanium bolt upgrades are for you, not weight savings. They’re 99% bragging rights, 1% performance. If you’re not counting grams then they’re probably not “worth it”.

Ti for corrosion resistance with colo(u)r. Al, if lightly loaded e.g. bottle cage bolts.

What about mixing titanium and other metals, the example for chainring bolts?
