Like those delicious treats while you’re riding? Ever wonder what it takes to start up your own nutrition company and make energy bars?

In this episode, I interview Caleb Simpson (on right in photo), co-founder of Bearded Brothers Energy Bars, about how they came up with the formula, ramped up production and have grown into Whole Foods, REI and more! We talk about their manufacturing process, marketing, and the different approaches to selling into local mom-and-pop shops (like bike shops) versus national retail chains. Here’s your crash course in learning how those snacks go from an idea to to a real treat you can eat!
