Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show features handmade bicycles, their builders, and educational programming for professionals and the public
Portland, OR:  Handmade bicycles and bicycle related crafts, the artisans that build them and professionals representing the craft and culture of bicycling will converge at the 3rd annual Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show October 9 & 10, 2010 at Sandbox Studio in Portland, Oregon. Bicycle frame building companies throughout the United States & abroad are all invited and welcome to showcase their wares alongside the best frame builders in Oregon.
In 2009, the Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show included 40 exhibitors and welcomed over 2,000 attendees for the two day event. The 2010 show promises to again feature the country’s finest bicycles and related artisanal bicycle products. This year, the show will expand to include educational programming for the professional and the public provided by Oregon’s own United Bicycle Institute.
“Oregon handmade bicycles and their builders have been attracting the attention of people throughout the United States for many years,†said Dave Levy, President of the Oregon Bicycle Constructors Association, sponsor of the show. “The show has grown substantially as more and more enthusiasts learn the unique benefits and beauty of the Oregon handmade bicycle.â€
Plans for Oregon’s premiere event showcasing the handmade bicycle are being finalized but will include the two-day frame builder exhibition in the Sandbox Studio, plus seminars on bicycle fit, continuing educational programs for the bicycle professional, local entertainment and socializing.
