I’m not sure if you remember, but at the end of last year on our Podcast, I predicted that 2025 would be the year of the Cargo Bike. Well, while there has been an increase in cargo bike brands and interest over here in the States, it seems that Europe is leading the Cargo Bike charge, as usual.
While at Eurobike 2025, the Bikerumor crew managed to capture a bike-load of cargo bikes. The sheer volume of cargo bikes in and around the show was a bit overwhelming. You name it, and there seems to be a bike built to carry it. It was hard to walk around the show without seeing a cargo bike or micromobility solution, which is why Eurobike is changing the formula and adding a new show for 2026.
Ok, let’s get to it!
Super Bicycles
The Super Mini, Mighty, and Mighty Jr… make cargoing a family affair.

The Super Mini was awarded a Eurobike Award for its small stature and ability to carry a decent load of cargo. Super also had a number of full-size (and even smaller) cargo bikes outside.

A cargo bike balance bike? Why not? The founder of Super Bicycles told us that these balance bikes were originally created just for the show, but the response was high enough that they might bring them to production! How can you not love a Super Mighty carrying a Super Mighty Mini?
Perfect for a Beer Run?
A lot of European cargo bikes seem to be made to precisely fit a crate of beer…

Cargo Treadmill?
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a treadmill bike, but this one seems to be far more practical (and real) with the addition of an ebike drive system to boost performance. It also has an integrated rack, so you can walk/ride your cargo home with you.

YouMo XCYC Side Dump Cargo Bike
Ready to drop your cargo off lickity-split. Dump option and triple crown forks for the win!

Is This Even a Bike?
This thing is dumpy AF. And…triple crown forks again. Ready to be taken seriously.

Four Wheels and a Recumbent
This company is thinking way outta the box here, four wheels, a laid back recumbent style cockpit, and the one below is giving strong Model T vibes! I think Henry would approve. The other styles below that are without a top make me think of the “horseless carriages” of the late 1800s.

Stoer Cargox
This thing just looks good. I really like the stout but small front wheel and the lighting around the cargo box. It also seems to be part of a new category of fat tire cargo bikes that were popping up at Eurobike…

Jobiko Cargo Bikes
…like those from Jobiko. This is a new bike company launching soon out of Thailand. It’s a cool design, and has a different look from the others. Looks stout and ready to haul your goods, whatever they may be. Check out their Instagram.

The cargo bikes have the option of running a traditional seat post and using the rear rack for cargo, or you can use the rack for a moto-style seat with room for two riders.
Karbikes… Yup
Karbikes manufactures, you guessed it, car-bikes. They have a modular rear-end section that can be configured for the purpose. There’s the Kubi with a box that can hold up to 500 liters of gear. The Koli (below) comes equipped with an 80cm-wide rear platform to fit standard European pallets. And the Kozi with a modular rear seat for one adult or two kiddos.

Other Car-Like Cargo Bikes
Vowag is a beast of a cargo bike that can pull large loads. They are focused on commercial applications, and the available configuration options are plentiful.

Tomos Cargo Bikes and an eCar
This isn’t a bike, it’s the Tomos EC 01. It’s what is called a microcar, and there were a number of them at Eurobike. It’s a nice compromise between a car and the more exposed mobility options.

Tomos Cargo Bikes

Anyone else have a Tomos moped growing up? It’s a little odd to see the Tomos name on a cargo bike, but the modern e-equivalent scooter thing seems like a natural fit.
Tern Bicycles is Urban Mobility

The Tern GSD was a Eurobike award winner, and for good reason. Now in it’s third generation, the GSD has huge cargo capacity, the ability to be stored vertically, and tons of accessories.

Those accessories are growing with the introduction of the new Sun Shield (above, right), Rain Shield (above, left), and the RuffHouse (below).

Tern also had a really cool booth with color-coded paths on the floor to lead you to the bike best suited to your cargo needs.
Nihola Cargo Bikes
Below is the Nihola Combo cargo bike, and it is capable of being two bikes at once. It can be used as a bike taxi, with a removable front seat. Or, as a wheelchair transport. Well done!

Hase Bikes’ new Pino
Hase Bikes is an American company that makes specialized bikes and recumbent trikes. At Eurobike, they were showcasing their Pino. This bike doubles as a cargo bike, a city bike, a compact bike, or a tandem. It also doubles as a mobile Pop-a-Shot!

Movaria Mobility
Movaria specializes in eCargo bike powertrains, and this rear axle looks like serious business. I mean, it’s no Dana 44, but it’s still pretty cool.

Black Iron Horse Polly
Black Iron Horse is a Danish cargo bike company, and this is their Polly Cargo Bike. It comes in a few different options that will cover most people’s needs. The Polly-2 can fit two kids and cargo, the Polly-4 is parent and child friendly, the Polly-6 has room for 6 kids, the Polly-dog is perfect for your furry family member, and lastly, the Polly-Family, flexibility for the larger family.

What really caught our attention was the rear wheel steering – a clever way to work around the constraints of the two front wheels which gives the cabin more interior room.
Winther Cargo Bikes
Below is the Winther Cargoo 2+2 looks like a great and safe way to haul the kids around. Plus, the kids get to face each other while on the ride.
“Your Next Car is a Cargo Bike,” seems like a fitting caption. It may not be a reality for many here in the states, but the movement is growing.

Riese & Müller Ambulence Bike
The Riese & Müller Packster is a family eCargo bike from one of the European cargo bike giants. This one has been outfitted to be an emergency response vehicle. In many dense urban environments, this could be the key to getting through gridlock and helping someone in need, quickly. Check out the lightbar on the handlebar.

Riese & Muller also has fully decked out cargo bikes that include full suspension and knobby tires. This is the one to take when the school run has gravel and dirt paths along the way!
Experimental Dad
I’m not sure what’s going on here, but I dig it. His actual name is Alex Clauss, but occasionally he goes by Experimental Dad. Check out his Instagram.

Vello
Vello claims that their Vello Sub is the lightest longtail cargo eBike on the market. That’s a bold claim, we didn’t weigh it, so we can’t really comment. But, at the very least, it’s a handsome bike for sure (and also a Eurobike award winner)

i:SY Cargo
The P12 Longtail (below) is a new bike for i:SY. It uses the Pinion MGU E1.12 gearbox. Also, a very handsome Cargo bike that looks like it’s ready to work with its massive front basket.

Rehwald Cargo Bikes
These front-load, big box cargo bikes are immediately where my mind goes when I think of the quintessential European cargo bike. Look at all those potatoes!

Random Clever Idea
There are a few companies out there doing this, where you can add a cargo front fork, platform, and wheel to an existing bicycle. Thus, repurposing that bike to be useful all over again! This one is a really clean execution, and was sitting outside the venue locked up. The owner wasn’t around to answer any questions.
Update: Following the post, Arian Bronner contacted us to confirm that this is a prototype of the Elephant Cargo Fork from Apriko Bikes. The small brand hopes to start presales later in the year, so make sure to follow them on Instagram for updates!

Cool Basil Dog Basket
A nice, safe way to take Fido along for the ride.

vanRaam Thuja
VanRaam’s Thuja trike (below) looks very well thought out, and seems to be of high quality (which is probably why it won a Eurobike award). But really, it looks more like a laundry basket bike. Just sayin’.

Urbanisto Modular Cargo
This bike is really cool. Go from regular eBike to Cargo eBike in a matter of minutes. You may remember that Urbanisto won the 2025 Eurobike Start-Up Award.

A new Mobifuture for Eurobike 2026?
Clearly, there were a LOT of cargo bikes and mobility options at Eurobike 2025. This was just scratching the surface of the more interesting bikes we spotted. Depending on what you’re into, that’s good or bad for the future of Eurobike – which is exactly why Fairnamic GmbH, the organiser of Eurobike, is changing things up for Eurobike 2026.
To make Eurobike more relevant to the traditional bike industry, all of the electric, smart, and urban mobility solutions (including most cargo bikes) will be moved to a new Mobifuture show that will be co-located with the Eurobike Show at Messe Frankfurt. Eurobike is said to then be more focused on its roots with traditional pedal bikes and ebikes, aimed at performance, sport, technology, style, and community.
The two shows will be separated, but will run concurrently with the 34th Eurobike and the first edition of Mobifuture taking place from 24 to 28 June 2026 at Messe Frankfurt.
