If you’ve been looking for a hitch bike rack to carry your heavy e-bike, including long-tail cargo bikes and adventure fat bikes, the new Thule Vero is it.
While the recently introduced Thule Verse is rated up to 60 lbs per tray, the new Vero steps that up slightly to 80 lbs per tray. It also adds other features to better stabilize bigger, heavier bikes, plus offers a removable ramp to help you roll those bikes onto the trays.

It features three attachment points – one for each wheel, and one upright for the frame. In Europe, three points of contact are standard (and legally required), but for U.S. riders, we’re more familiar with the single strap for the rear tire plus a front tire hook. Or maybe a loop over each wheel.

So, the Vero’s design will technically be EU legal, but it’s intended only for the US market thanks to its standard 2″ hitch mount stinger.
The telescoping arm lets it fit virtually any bike, and can even grab the top of the rear tire if you don’t want anything touching your frame.

Its strap has a keyed lock matched to the rest of the rack, making it easy to secure your bike and the rack, too.

Beyond that, features are similar to the Verse – it pivots up and down, uses their lockable wedge ratchet to take up the slack at the hitch for wobble-free performance, and has the removable wheels for easy rolling in and out of a garage (see it and more from Thule at SEMA here)
Available January 2026, MSRP TBA.
