Bike Month means a lot of riders new or old are dusting off their commuters and heading to work. Commuting by bike is easier than most people think especially when you have a convenient way of carrying your gear and any extra clothes. Timbuk2 has been making bags that fit the bill and for National Bike Month they are teaming up with a company with an even longer history of serving the bicycling community. To help Bianchi celebrate their 130th anniversary, Timbuk2 has partnered with the legendary brand not only to introduce a Limited Edition Prospect pack, but a contest that will provide everything you need to start commuting by bike….
Based on their popular Prospect pack from the Timbuk2 custom collection, the Bianchi Prospect includes a tasteful amount of Celeste trim. Other details include the 130th anniversary patch and a bit of Italian flair. Otherwise it is the same weather proof commuter bag which offers a flap or roll top closure depending on the amount of stuff in side. An Airmesh ventilated back panel keeps it comfortable on longer rides, and the padded custom fit shoulder straps include a removable sternum strap to keep everything in place. Inside you’ll find a laptop sleeve that fits a 15″ MacBook as well as a separate sleeve for your iPad. A few other pockets on the inside are a great place to keep smaller items leaving a large opening in the center for bulky items, and an external front pocket under the flap and twin side pockets for bottles or u-locks finish it out.
Made in San Fancisco, the Bianchi 130th Anniversary Prospect is available now for $159.00. They probably won’t last long.
If you’d rather try your luck instead of your wallet, starting on May 17th Timbuk2 will be running a sweepstakes through Facebook with a pretty awesome grand prize. One grand prize winner will not only receive the new limited edition Bianchi Prospect Pack, but you’ll also score a Bianchi Vigorelli steel road bike, Knog Blinder Road Twinpack of lights, a Kryptonite Evolution Mini lock, and a Lazer Blade helmet. Essentially everything you need to get on the road to fun and safe commuting by bike.
You can enter the contest at Timbuk2’s site, good luck!
