Hopefully if you were planning to submit a proposal for the Bell Built Trail Project you aren’t leaving it until the last minute. But if you’re a certified procrastinator the deadline is rapidly approaching. As in This Friday, March 6th. Unlike previous years, the winner of the 2015 grant will receive the full $100,000 to put towards an advanced trail built by IMBA Trail Solutions. After the proposal window closes, three semi-finalists will be chosen from three regions – West Coast, Central, and East Coast. Three separate public voting sessions will then be utilized starting March 16th to narrow it down to one finalist from each region, at which point another public vote to determine the winner.
Submitting your proposal will give you local scene a chance to cash in on a new technical trail, but in the end we all win with new trails thanks to Bell and IMBA!
