Titici’s already light climber’s road bike gets a bit of fresh aero integration in the new 60th anniversary Vento, making for a custom Italian carbon road bike that’s quick both up and down the mountain. The made-to-measure Titici Vento combines classic round tube shapes with their unique vibration-eating PAT ultra-flat top tube, and now gets an all-new one-piece Titici-made bar+stem combo to complete the sleek, fully integrated cockpit setup.
Titici Vento custom carbon, Flexy climber’s road bike
An interesting move for Titici as they celebrate their 60th anniversary, this new Vento road bike gets a much simpler name, dropping their long-running and mind-bending letter & number designation. The F for Flexy is gone, but the flat flexing top tube is thankfully still there. Although Vento (Italian for Wind) does suggest more aero optimization beyond this bike’s slightly dropped seatstays and shift to completely hidden, fully internal cable routing.
The Vento though is meant to be a versatile all-rounder, a lightweight climber’s bike that brings subtle aero tweaks adapted from their dedicated aero road bike, and retains all-day endurance comfort.
New Titici Aero Handlebar one-piece carbon cockpit / bar+stem combo
With fully integrated, internal cable routing a core feature of the new Vento, Titici also debuts their first one-piece carbon cockpit, which they say was developed in-house with an eye on ergonomics. They haven’t shared yet what sizes will be available, but the aerodynamically shaped bar features some interesting tricks and adds 500€ to the frameset price tag as an additional option.
The bar gets a semi-open port underneath the body of the stem that should make cable routing easier, and an integrated steerer space that makes for a smooth cable bend into the headset (mechanical & electronic shift compatible). The cockpit uses opposing alloy inserts to clamp the steerer, includes direct mount bosses under the stem to mount an out-front GPS, and transitions smoothly into what looks like maybe the straight-sided FSA ACR integrated headset system (or Deda DCR or something similar.)
Integrated carbon road – Tech details
The most noticeable highlight of every Titici is that signature 8mm thin PAT (Plate Absorber Tech) top tube, which promises to absorb 18% more vibration than conventional round tubes. The resulting wide shape also promises extra lateral stiffness.
The new Vento now shifts to a full 1.5″ internal headset for the tapered steerer full carbon fork, to fit all of the shift & brake lines into the headtube
The disc brake-only road bike is designed around 28mm road tires, with a bit of extra clearance that should fit the 30s, too. The frameset features 12mm thru-axles, flat mount brakes, a replaceable alloy derailleur hanger, a braze-on front derailleur tab (optional), a press-fit bottom bracket, a convention external clamp Seatpost collar, and of course full internal routing.
Titici uses a superlight tube-to-tube carbon production technique called Progressive Bandage Workmanship (PBW) where they apparently layer more and more fibers to add increased strength & stiffness based on individual rider weight & riding style. That said, based on Titici’s description of the new Vento as a climber, we expect it to be noticeably lighter than their 900g F-RI02 aero road bike.

Further detail on the new Titici Vento “climber’s road bike” is surprisingly limited for a frameset that sells for 4790€. But that can mostly be chalked up to the fact that this is a fully-custom, carbon road bike made one at a time by hand in Italy. Geometry is made-to-measure and fully customizable. And paint and graphics are fully custom as well.
This bright bike is the chrome & Sessanta Green Anniversary Edition, meant to recall the 60s when the company was founded in Castelnuovo di Asola, Italy by Alberto Pedrazzani in 1961.
