By the time next winter rolls around, there will be another option for studded fat bike tires. Wend is a new brand cooked up by industry veteran Tim Krueger. Making sort of a soft launch at the Taipei show with a set of tires slipped underneath a titanium Advocate Watchman, Tim isn’t giving a lot away about Wend, other than the fact that tires – not just fat bike tires, will be on the way soon…

The first tire to be seen in public is the new Wazia studded fat bike tire. Using fewer studs than a lot of studded options, the Wazia looks to have a fairly aggressive tread pattern though Tim says it is surprisingly fast rolling. The Light hot patch informs us the tire uses a 4.6″ 120 TPI ultralight tubeless ready casing with an aramid bead.

Considering the Wazia looks to be the perfect tire for the Watchman, we wouldn’t be surprised to see tires matching other Advocate models in the future.
