As someone who has a couple bike travel cases taking up far too much valuable attic real estate, the Lotus Go Easy Bike Carrying Bag really stood out as a genuine innovation for the category.

Boasting a full metal base frame, inflatable and cushioned walls and enough volume to hold a 29er mountain bike, the case is still able to pack down to fit into a (large) backpack. Or your closet or even under your desk…

The frame’s tubes slot together to fill the length of the case. The rear axle mount sits behind a brush guard-like protective grate, keeping the rear derailleur from getting smashed and reducing the likelihood that you’ll even need to remove it for packing.

The fork’s mount slides fore/aft and up/down to fit your bike.

The side walls inflate to hold the bag’s shape and offer air cushioning, which can be pumped up for use and deflated for storage. The top loop running over the bike has foam padding.

Four wheels on the bottom mean you don’t even have to lift one end of it to roll it through the airport parking lot. The weight is 8kg (17.63lb), putting it on the lighter side of bike cases, too.

Any word regarding available axle holding options such as 15mm front and/or 12x142mm rear?

Looks pretty great. Wonder how good the protection actually is, for flight cargo etc. Any hint about a price yet?
