Discus Plus is a new model of the 30Team that is wider and lighter. The rim was redesigned and chopped a ton of weight out by making it slightly shallower even though it’s 2mm wider. The wheelset dropped from 1600g to 1400g for the 650B. Rene Wiertz, 3T president/CEO said the prior version was over built, basically a DH rim, so this one is more gravel specific in its layup, which also helped shed grams.
It’s tubeless ready with a minimal bead hook and is designed around 27.5×2.1 tires…which works great for the WTB Horizon 47c tires. Inside rim width is 30mm, external is 36mm and height is 26mm.
It goes into production in May, price TBD.
The alloy version of the Discus C 35 Pro gets a similar re-work and drops from 1810g to 1615g for 700c.
It shares the asymmetric design and is tubeless ready, but is not as wide as the carbon 27.5 version (we’re getting widths and will update).
This seatpost is a prototype LTD version of the Zero25 post that’s been out in Pro and Team. This one’s at 205g, using a bit better carbon than the Team version to save a few grams. The design is clever in that it works as both a 0mm and 25mm offset on the same post by simply flipping the clamp head around. This helps 3T (and shops) reduce SKUs without eliminating options.
