It’s already time for season two of the Trail Boss, and Jeff Lenosky is back at it. In this episode of how to make an extremely difficult trail look like a piece of cake, Jeff heads out to Lyons, Colorado to ride the Bitterbrush trail. Part of the much larger Hall Ranch trail system, the Bitterbrush trail is highlighted by a rock garden that is less rock and more boulder. Am I crazy, or does the map show a descent, but the video is clearly the ascent? Clearing the descent: meh. Clearing the ascent: skillz.

Only 4 minutes of video? I’d like to see an uncut version so we can see the dabs and retakes.

Jeff’s been honing trials skills for a long time. Just google his name and watch the stuff this guy can do and I think you’ll agree this trail is pretty easy for him. Everyone makes mistakes, but I can’t imagine he would need a second try on anything here.

Jeff is a great rider, but the camera person, clearing every section while riding one-handed and looking back while filming, deserves more credit.

The guy is a tractor on the climbs.
