Looking to score a good bike in good condition at a good discount? If you live in the UK, you’re options just got a bit better.
Trek Bikes UK will has opened up their demo fleet remnants to consumers. In the past, they’ve only made demo bikes available to retailers, but apparently have still ended up with some leftover stock. That stock is now being made available to the public, albeit through your local Trek dealer. That lets the dealer remain involved in the sale and, presumably, keeps the riders happy with a place for warranty work and future service. There’s quite a decent selection, and most look to be 30% to 50% off MSRP.
As for US riders, no such program is in place yet. Trek’s website says they’re not for sale here…but hopefully if the program proves successful across the pond, it’ll spread.
