Unno puts their lightweight Spanish carbon magic to work on the all-new Mith enduro eMTB, now powered by the tiny but torquey DJI Avinox ebike drive system. Together they claim you get all the benefits and lightweight ride feel of a top-tier light-assist ebike, but with the full power of DJI’s 120Nm motor, a full 800Wh of battery, and a 170/160mm mullet setup that’s build to shred mountains.
Unno Mith full-power eMTB sheds 1.3kg, adds more power
The new Mith can be summed up in some simple numbers compared to its previous generation.
The original full-power Unno Mith eMTB was powered by the 85Nm Bosch Race motor and a 750Wh battery at a claimed weight of 22.6kg, making it one of the lightest and most-powerful all-mountain/enduro mountain bikes you could get. Now, it gets a much more powerful 120Nm DJI Avinox motor, a bigger 800Wh internal battery, and a claimed weight of just 21.3kg.

Unno makes several pretty bold claims about their new Mith:
- “This is probably the first bike that it will be very tough to tell that it’s a full-power e-bike.”
- “Most people will think you’re riding an SL or even a regular Enduro bike.“
- “It represents an evolution that speaks for itself; no other company has achieved this until now.“
But based on those spec updates, and our own experiences with the Amflow powered by DJI, maybe Unno isn’t exaggerating?

OK, so what’s new and what carries over from the original Mith?
Unno Mith Powered by DJI Avinox

The DJI motor wasn’t actually Unno’s first choice for the new Mith. They had started development with another light but powerful motor. But when they had a chance to test out the Avinox, Unno immediately felt this was “much better… than every other system on the market” and that it would allow them to build a much more compact eMTB.

In fact, looking at the new Mith, it’s pretty easy to miss that there’s a motor and battery tucked inside this sleek carbon eMTB frame.
DJI Avinox stats:

- 1000W max instantaneous power
- 120Nm max torque
- 800Wh internal battery
- 4 standard assist modes: Auto, Eco, Trail & Turbo

- torque levels: 70Nm (Eco), 105Nm (Auto, Trail, Turbo), and 120Nm (Boost)
- power levels: 250W (standard weighted average rating), 850W (typical peak), 1000W (max in Boost mode)
- weight claims: 2.52kg for the motor & 3.74kg for the standard 800Wh internal battery (or 2.87kg for the smaller 600Wh battery)
- 2hr 25min fast-charging from 0-100% (800Wh battery)
- 2″ full color OLED touchscreen display (800 nits of brightness, 326 ppi)

Unno frame updates

Unno completely reshaped the new Mith, taking advantage of the smaller DJI motor and battery to lower the shock orientation and get rid of the diagonal cross bar that features in all their other bike & ebike designs. That also means the new mullet-wheeled eMTB is compatible with air & coil shocks. And all shocks are easier to access for all adjustments.
The same core Unno Virtual Pivot suspension design remains. But it has been tweaked with higher progression in the first 30% of travel to maximize small bump sensitivity. And then, the remaining 70% gets less progressive to “give enough platform to push the bike in corners and provide good bottom-out resistance“.

At the same time as the frame layout redesign, Unno shortened their signature mast-like seattube by 6cm to fit longer travel dropper posts in all bikes.
And in a welcome move away from industry trends, Unno also ditched in-headset cable routing, returning to practicality with internal routing cable ports on the side of the headtube.
Tech updates:

- fully-guided, conventional internal cable routing entering through the sides of the headtube
- larger EnduroMAX pivot bearings for 4x load carrying capacity
- new dust guards are added to better seal the already sealed cartridge bearings in the pivots
- new mini mud guard fenders protect linkage & shock from rear tire spray
- new finned rubber chainstay and lower link protectors to protect the frame and quiet chainslap
- new mini chainguide gets co-molded rubber inner liner for quiet running
- now compatible with large 750ml water bottle

- 3 sizes available – S1, S2 & S3
- 155mm cranks spec’d on all Mith ebikes for improved rock clearance
- 2.6″ max 27.5″ tire clearance
- 200mm rear rotor integrates DJI speed sensor
- lifetime frame warranty for all Unno Mith ebike frames & bearing dust guards
Unno Mith x DJI eMTB – Pricing, options & availability

Unno offers two complete Mith eMTB builds available now in three sizes (S1, S2 & S3), all with the same DJI Avinox system & 800Wh internal battery standard. But Unno also suggests that more tiers will come, including a higher-end Factory build.

For now, the 2025 Unno Race is the more affordable option at 9995€, painted gray over the UD carbon frame. But you still get a full Fox 38 + Float X Factory suspension setup, a wireless SRAM S1000 AXS drivetrain, and alloy Newmen wheels & alloy OneUp cockpit.

Stepping up to the top-tier for the Mith Pro and future Factory models, Unno also brings back their original twill carbon finish that slightly improves these frames’ impact resistance. The 2025 Unno Mith Pro sells for 11.995€ with the same 170mm Fox 38 Factory fork and 160mm of rear wheel travel with the Float X factory shock. But your drivetrain gets upgraded to SRAM X0 Eagle AXS, your wheels upgraded to Newmen Phase 30 Carbon, and your cockpit to OneUp V2 Carbon.

All builds get 2.5″ Schwalbe Magic Mary Gravity Pro Radial tires, soft out back & super soft up front for uncompromising grip, and 4-piston Formula Cura 4 brakes for reliable stopping power.
