It still looks and feels like summer in most parts of the northern hemisphere, but, like it or not, shorter days and cooler temps are just around the corner. A few weeks from now, many of us will begin layering up for all of our road, gravel, and mountain bike rides. In anticipation of the fall and winter riding seasons, Velocio just dropped its Fall/Winter 2025 collection so you can ride all year in comfort and style.
For Fall/Winter 2025, Velocio has new colors and/or updates to the majority of its existing products, along with a number of brand-new pieces to round out the lineups across all disciplines. Here are some of the highlights.
Drop Bar

For drop-bar road and gravel riders, Velocio refreshed its ever-popular and super comfortable LUXE Thermal Bib Tights ($279), Bib Knickers ($259), and Bib Shorts ($239). Available in both Men’s and Women’s versions, all of the LUXE Thermals now use the same multi-density chamois as the summer-weight LUXE bibs, along with the addition of cargo pockets. They still use the same cozy, fleece-backed, high compression ThermoRoubaix fabric along with a strategically placed, integrated windproof panel. Likewise, the non-thermal LUXE Bib Tight ($299) also gets the updated chamois.
For the upper body, Velocio has brand-new LUXE Merino and LUXE Thermal long-sleeve jerseys. Made with a 170g merino, the LUXE Merino LS Jersey ($229) aims to be the perfect shoulder season weight and is intended to be worn on its own or as a mid layer on colder days. The LUXE Thermal LS Jersey ($209) bumps up the warmth and protection slightly with a “thermal weight” merino blend fabric and a full height collar to keep the chill off your neck. It is intended to layer with the brand’s Ultralight Jacket or Vest, or as a midlayer on frigid days.

For the coldest days, Velocio’s ZERO Bib Tight ($299) still promises warmth without the bulk. With a full fleece lining from ankle to shoulder, along with a windproof/water-resistant front panel and breathable Thermo-Roubaix back, the ZERO Bib Tights are ready for winter’s worst. Velocio also updated them with the same multi-density chamois as the LUXE bibs, along with cargo pockets to stash your face covering or skull cap as things heat up. Pair these with the AlphaZERO Jacket ($339) or Vest ($219) and stack outdoor base miles all winter long.
The brand also updated its lightweight yet surprisingly warm Alpha Air Jacket ($229). Building on the legacy of the popular Alpha Merino Air, the Alpha Air jacket is intended to provide the warmth of a jacket in an ultralight package that fits and feels more like a long-sleeve jersey. With an ultralight Japanese-woven shell, body-mapped Polartec Alpha insulation, and a performance-oriented fit, the Alpha Air looks like a versatile layer for high-intensity training rides.

Most dedicated cool-weather riders know that good layering is one of the keys to staying comfortable and regulating temperature. Both the Merino Mesh Sleeveless ($99) and Long Sleeve Baselayers ($109) have been updated with a new merino mesh fabric. These slim-fitting baselayers aim to provide natural thermoregulation, breathability, odor resistance, and moisture wicking.
Trail

Velocio’s line of Trail mountain bike apparel continues to grow with a handful of new pieces for 2025. The Trail Merino Long Sleeve Jersey ($119) isn’t completely new, but it might as well be. It gets an updated fit to make it more relaxed and slightly roomier than the previous version, along with a refined cut around the collar and arm panel, and Velocio’s latest merino mesh material.
The all-new Trail Alpha Hoodie ($309) adds a rugged and warm jacket to the brand’s off-road collection. With a workwear-inspired fit, function, and look, this jacket has a tough double-weave abrasion-resistant shell to shrug off trailside obstacles and the occasional crash. It’s lined with lightweight and breathable Polartec Alpha insulation for warmth down to the freezing mark. It has a look that isn’t out of place off the bike, with a cut that won’t inhibit your range of motion on the trail.

For the vest wearers among us, the new Trail Alpha Insulated Vest ($229) mimics the jacket described above in looks and construction, just without the sleeves or the hood.
