Looking to build on the success of their P35 and Blunt rims, Velocity recently announced their newest rim, the Blunt SL. In addition to the rim, Velocity will also be offering two complete wheelsets with the Pro and Comp models. Everything will be available in both 26″, 650b, and 29″ versions and all will be tubeless ready with the addition of Velocity’s Velotape kit. The end result looks to be a fairly light “XC race day” wheelset that won’t break the bank.

Bringing together the proven success and technology of the P35 and Blunt rims, Velocity has developed a new tubeless ready race day rim that weighs in at 420 grams in the 29”/700c platform. The Blunt SL can easily be made tubeless using Velocity’s Velotape kit. In addition to rims, Blunt SL Pro and Comp wheelsets are available.
