Olympic and World Champion sprinter Victoria Pendleton took the Rollapaluza rollers last week, as a publicity effort for Team Great Britain Bike Week.
She recorded a fast 22.82-second 500 metres in Manchester, in tracksuit bottoms, and looked disturbingly fresh after the usually lung-busting effort. In London and Birmingham, meanwhile, competitors were also riding the roller rigs, in a three-city simultaneous event organised by the Metro newspaper.
In case you didn’t know, we’re slap bang in the middle of Team Great Britain Bike Week, which aims to spread the good word about the benefits of cycling for pleasure, commuting, health benefits and much more. Take a look at their excellent website for a quick way of finding Bike Week events near you.
