That Utah’s “Life Elevated” slogan features as prominently as dirt in the first few seconds of “Release the Dust” looks like no accident.
In the short but very sweet cut from Cannondale, pro cyclist Louis Reboul takes to the Virgin, Utah area’s bright red dirt — or, more accurately, to the open air high above it.
According to the filmmakers, “Virgin, in particular, offers a vast canvas where Louis can create art — in the dirt with his shovel and in the air with his Jekyll.”
Do you need dialogue? Good; neither does Reboul and neither do we. Soaring guitar rock handles the backdrop of this beauty just fine.
