If you’re looking for a discount on Wahoo Fitness gear, and have an HSA or FSA – you’re in luck. A wide range of the Wahoo Fitness ecosystem products can now be purchased using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) directly on wahoofitness.com. Following in the footsteps of the ZWIFT Ride Smart bike HSA option, this new payment option applies to popular items in the KICKR range—including indoor Smart Bikes, Smart Trainers, and the all new KICKR RUN treadmill—along with heart rate monitors and RPM sensors.

How Does It Work?

Through a new partnership with Truemed, Wahoo has streamlined the process, making HSA/FSA-qualified purchases making the process less confusing. Here’s how it works:

  1. Select Payment Method: At checkout, choose “Pay with HSA/FSA funds.”
  2. Health Survey: Complete a brief health survey on the Truemed website.
  3. Finalize Purchase: Enter your HSA/FSA card or another payment method. If using a regular credit or debit card, you can still request reimbursement through your HSA/FSA.

Once the health survey is submitted, a licensed medical provider reviews your responses and issues a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) if eligible.

What Do You Save?

For US-based customers, by using HSA or FSA funds, athletes can save up to 30% on eligible purchases.

“We’re thrilled to offer this new integration, expanding access to our products for endurance athletes who want to invest in their fitness and health. At Wahoo, we are committed to removing barriers to better training, and this partnership with Truemed is another step toward achieving that goal and helping to build the better athlete in all of us.”

This is great! We absolutely should be able to use these funds to improve health outcomes through a fit lifestyle rather than treating illnesses after the fact. Many of the negative health outcomes in the US are directly related to lifestyle and I for one would rather see us spend our money preventing rather than reacting to such issues.

agreed. Maybe it will even convert a would be angry, homicidal driver into someone who can actually identify with a person just getting some exercise on a bike
