If you’re like me, you have a drawer full of headset spacers and still never have the right height. Or the right color. Likely both. Now, Wheels Manufacturing is offering kits with a wide range of spacer heights, all using a “StackRight” stepped design that keeps them perfectly aligned. And they come in lots of colors!

The kits come in two versions, one with a standard top cap, and one with a “Pro” cap that uses a recessed funnel design with a replaceable top cap that gives it a flat, no-bolt look. Already got a favorite top cap? The spacer kit is available separately, too.

Each kit comes with:

  • 2 x 10mm Spacers
  • 2 x 2.5 Spacers
  • 2 x 1.5 Spacers
  • 1 x 5mm Spacer
  • 1 x M6x35mm Stainless Steel Cap Screw

They’re machined from 6061 aluminum and made for 1-1/8″ steerers (including tapered 1-1/8″ to 1-1/2″). Choose from eight colors:

The standard kit is $31.50, and the Pro kit is $36.90. Just the spacers are $21.95. If you’re searching their site, they’re under Small Parts, then Headset Spacer Kits…not just Spacers, they sell those too, but they’re not the lock-together design.

Man, does anyone actually proofread their articles any more? “…not just Spacers, they sell those two, but they’re not the lock-together design.” This should read: “…not just spacers. They sell those too, but they’re not the lock-together design.”

And even then they don’t bother to fix Tyler’s bad spelling.

This is one of those “why isn’t everyone already doing that already?” things.

These look really similar to Cane Creek’s Interlok spacer system (which has been around for years), but it’s not clear if they’re compatible.

This launch very much had a “where have I seen this before?” feel.

I wish they’d sell just the top cap part; I live the slammed stem life

I’m struggling to understand what the benefit of the lock-together design. What does it keep them aligned to? Why do headset spacer need to be aligned?
