White Industries’ Urban Platform Pedals are a work of art, and after being introduced at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, they finally went into full production recently.

The 6061 Aluminum platform spins on a 17-4 Stainless Steel tapered axle with Enduro sealed cartridge bearings.  They’re made to work with toe clips and single or double straps, and they come in this clear-coated polished version and an anodized black (shown after the break).

The classic look is complemented by bronze acorn nuts on the end of the spindle, and as the shoe ramp suggests, they’re made in the USA.  MSRP is $235 and they weigh in at 309g.

You can run double straps a few different ways.

these pedals are very sweet indeed, BUT if you go to velo-orange.blogspot.com you can purchase a more sensible mks gr9 platform pedal for 29.99
and they will do the same thing. also they wont draw any attention from the bikesnob!!
