Who’d a thunk we’d see the day when “race gravel bike” and “2.25 tires” were used in the same sentence, but here we are. The new Wilde Bicycle Co. Heighliner, is a titanium gravel race frameset designed to accommodate oversized 29 x 2.25″ tires while maintaining race geometry.

It’s what they term “modern gravel space ship” design—because apparently regular terrestrial bikes just don’t cut it. The $3,300 frameset features double-butted titanium tubes with full internal cable routing, T47 bottom bracket, and UDH compatibility.

It also includes three pack mounts under the downtube and a top tube feedbag mount. About the only thing it doesn’t have is routing for mechanical drivetrains – the electronic-only, 1x drivetrain compatibility reflects current market trends (for racers, anyway).

Named after the massive starships from Frank Herbert’s Dune series (with founder Jeff noting “we folding friggin’ space”), the bike targets riders seeking “nimble, agile, playful” handling characteristics. The geometry adapts their existing gravel race platform to accommodate the larger tire clearance, giving it both straight-line speed and cornering ability.

Available now for pre-order in a “Marbled Green” finish, and made in Taiwan like their Dark Stars and Mean Jeans models, it’s a more affordable option than their US-made options. MSRP is $3,330 for the frameset, including their Waypoint carbon fork. Delivery is scheduled for June 2026.
