Win a custom 3T Exploro Arlecchino inspired by Harlequin!
3T’s headquarters in northern Italy is in one of the regions hit hardest by COVID-19, so it’s especially reassuring to hear they are able to get back to work, as the worst of the pandemic seems to have passed. Their carbon factory, which we toured last fall, is located on the edge of Bergamo, which also happens to be the birthplace of Harlequin (aka Arlecchino in Italian), the famous masked comic character originating in 16th century commedia dell’arte. Hence, the local inspiration for the special edition bike.
The bike is a Exploro Team edition frameset custom-painted in the red, green, yellow & blue triangles of the Harlequin / Arlecchino character completed by his black mask for the headtube. The unique frame with get a top-shelf complete build to round it out. A SRAM Force/Eagle eTap AXS 12-speed electronic group give wireless shifting and a wide 11-50T gear range, paired with what will be the very first Torno Team carbon crankset that will come off of 3T’s restarted production line this week.
A suitably premium 3T DiscusPlus i28 LTD set of 650b tubeless carbon wheels provide rolling stock, and the latest version of their new Aeroghiaia LTD aero gravel handlebar for the cockpit.
Retail price of the prize is said to be $8500 / 8500€. For now it appears that Exploro Arlecchino is a one-off project, but 3T hinted they might make it available as an ultra-limited edition to those few gravelers who can’t live without it.

Back to work, 3T building carbon components in Italy
During two months of lockdown, 3T shifted distribution to Denmark to keep bikes & components moving to customers and did a lot of remote working, all the while producing ventilator valves & raising money to support local healthcare providers. But now with social distancing, masks & plenty more safety measures in place, they are back to manufacturing carbon cranks in-house. And as we heard when we visited last, probably some more carbon creations to be coming soon, as well…
