Wish some of WTB’s most popular Road Plus treads also came in 700c? Well, it looks like you’re in luck as WTB just added a number of new options. Not only that, but there are more sidewall options, and there’s a new pricing structure which means your favorite tires probably just dropped in price.

The Byway has long been a popular tread pattern thanks to its near road slick center section that’s framed with raised knobs for cornering.

Now the tread pattern you know and love is also available in 700c. Is Road Plus losing ground to 700c? Possibly. But even if not, it’s always good to have options.

Offered in black or tan sidewalls in all sizes, the Byway is now available in the original 650b x 47 plus 700c x 34, 700c x 40, and 700c x 44. All of the tires are TCS tubeless compatible, and are priced at $59.99 – a $24 decrease for 700c tires and an $11 decrease for 650b.

New to the Exposure line is the 700c x 36mm size which is in addition to the existing 700c x 30. Want a bigger 700c slick? This may be it.

Again, all tires are available in black or tan wall, TCS tubeless, and priced at $59.95.

To avoid naming confusion, the Exposure 32 and Exposure 34 tires have been renamed as the Expanse 32 and Byway 34 respectively. While the treads haven’t changed, the new names match the tread patterns better, keeping the line categorized according to the tread pattern.

Byway looks similar to Maxxis Razzo (OEM tyre mounted on Merida Silex ’18-19), except it’s bigger (40 vs 35). It’s a good thread pattern for dry conditions, however on wet tarmac it tends to slide.
