This was done to ensure proper chainline alignment with their wireless systems. This adjustment helps maintain optimal chain positioning and drivetrain efficiency across the cassette range.
In response to this spec change, Wolf Tooth is now offering chainrings designed specifically for Shimano’s Direct Mount system. These chainrings will match the 0mm offset.
