You know those “year in review” videos that are taking over Facebook at the moment? Now there is a cycling equivalent thanks to the digital minds over at Strava. Called the 2014 Strava Story, the free program compiles all of your cycling data from the Strava app for 2014 and produces a short clip that highlights your total distance, elevation gain, total time, KOM’s, biggest climb, Kudos count, and total achievements.

Whether you want to obtain a snapshot of your cycling year or to humble brag about it on social media, you can make your own Strava highlight reel here. Not already on Strava? Sign up here and get ready for the new year!

This was fun and validated why I train.

Kind of a cool thing, I suppose. Should be less likely to cause controversy than facebook’s year in review…

I actually appreciate what Strava is doing here. Would be good if it had some of the social components built in, like how many rides I did with friends, or how many segments I rode which my friends also rode…something like that.

I wish Strava would change their comments section to be more like that of SoundCloud. Where you can pick a certain section in the ride to make a comment. This looks pretty cool though.

I think Strava is fantastic but that it doesn’t need to take any cues from Facebook.

Like Mark, I get to 80% and then it hangs forever. I’ve tried three times over two days, always the same.
