Partnering up with Cycleops, Zwift is offering two complete training bundles – with two very different price tags. The more attainable package includes a Cycleops Magnus trainer which leaves the wheel on the bike as you’re riding. The smart trainer is of course Zwift compatible and works with bluetooth or ANT plus devices. As part of the bundle, there is an ANT+ dongle and USB extension cord included, which means you’ll be off to the (virtual) races right out of the box. Priced at $629 for the complete bundle for a limited time, it seems to be a pretty good deal since the ANT+ dongle normally sells for $38.99 and the trainer itself goes for $599. That means that you’re also getting a year of Zwift completely free ($180 value).
If you have a higher budget and would rather have a direct drive trainer, the Hammer bundle may be the answer. Compared to the Magnus which tops out at 1500 watts, the Hammer can handle up to 2000 watts and can simulate hills up to 20% grade. Also ANT+ and Bluetooth compatible, the Hammer also includes a 20lb flywheel for more lifelike pedaling.
Like the Magnus bundle, the Hammer bundle essentially gifts you with a free year of Zwift. It also includes the trainer, an 11-25t 11 speed cassette already mounted, a thru axle adapter kit, and the ANT+ dongle and USB cord, all for $1,259.99 with o% APR financing available.
