Pedalite just sent word that all of their battery-free light up cycling products are available in the U.S. through Sears, Amazon and various other stores and online retailers. What makes their line really cool is that everything is battery free, relying on either kinetic energy or solar power to illuminate the LEDs.
The Pedalite battery free 360º visibility Pedal Lights (shown above) are based on award-winning patented technology. Powered solely by the cycling motion, they light up as soon as the cyclist starts to pedal providing always-on lighting, with no requirement for a battery. The lights ensure that cyclists can be seen from up to 1km away by motorists and from any angle even the side, which is a major blind spot.
