Bianchi’s new Impulso road bike joins their lineup for 2012 as part of the long distance C2C (Coast 2 Coast) family. The frame is “Triple Hydroformed”, which means the top- and head tubes are hydroformed, then welded and fused together into a monocoque structure before going through a second hydroforming process. Bianchi says this increases front end stiffness while removing the weld texture from the headtube so it’s smoother and prettier. It’ll be built up with a Shimano Ultegra gray compact drivetrain, FSA cockpit, Fulcrum wheels and Hutchinson tires.
For the rest of their line, some models are getting the new Shimano Ultegra Di2 on the Sempre and a more budget concious 105-equipped Infinito. Pics after the break…
Bianchi’s carbon fiber Infinito is their endurance bike with a taller headtube and longer wheelbase, also part of the C2C family. For 2012, it gets a Shimano 105 build with FSA Gossamer MegaExo crankset.
The Sempre (Italian for “always”) gets two new specs for 2012. Above, the Ultegra Di2 model uses FSA’s Energy compact BB30 crankset with an otherwise full Ultegra drivetrain. Wheels are Fulcrum Racing 5 Black with Hutchy tires. Below is the new Sempre Nero (Black) SRAM Red build with FSA SLK carbon compact BB30 crankset and the new Vision T42 carbon/alloy wheels.
