To celebrate founder Marcus Storck’s 50th birthday, he’s dreamt up this ultralight build for his Aernario road bike.

Decked out with Storck’s PowerArms G2 cranks, Scapula CT fork, THM Fibula brakes, Dura-Ace Di2 and custom Lightweight Obermayer wheels. The frame set with fork tips in a claimed 1,190g and the complete bike as shown is just under 5.4kg (11.9lb). Frame-only weight is as low as 790g. That’s thanks to use of top shelf UD carbon from dropouts to BB shell to headset and Marcus’ meticulous attention to detail.

Each frame is hand polished with a raw carbon finish, along with the fork so they match, and signed by Marcus. Only 50 will be made this way. Check out our original coverage of the Aernario for frame tech, followed by a disc brake version for 2014.

UPDATE: Price is €15,999, available from a Storck retail story or authorized distributor. Cockpit is Storck branded with carbon post and handlebar and alloy stem. Schwalbe Ultremo tires round out the package.

MSRP when I read it was set at 15,000 euros. Bang for the buck considering what’s on there isn’t insanity. I would gladly put up my Fascenario 0.7 up to trade for this!!

I’m guessing the buyers don’t ask about the price, they just put it on their Black Card.
