The 10th Annual Cranksgiving is coming up on November 22, 2008, in New York City.  The Alleycat event pits bike messengers against the clock, traffic and shoppers in a race for pride and the opportunity to spread some goodwill (though maybe not to the drivers around you).

The event is open to anyone, messengers and non-messengers alike, on any type of bicycle.  The goal is to test your skills against traffic in a race through the streets and the grocery store aisles, where you need to quickly find and checkout with specific items, then get to the finish line.

All food donations and a majority of the cash donations go to City Harvest, with a small amount of the funds raised donated to the NY Bike Messenger Fund to support injured messengers.
