Just got a (concerned) confirmation from Hayes Bicycle Group that they will NOT be showing the Vivo V5 rear derailleur we reported yesterday.  Aaaah rumors… seems the person behind the (pending?) revival of the Vivo components was merely talking to Hayes Bicycle Group and HBG has decided not to let them show it in their booth.  The companies are not connected in any way.

Seems we were pawns…PAWNS!!…in Vivo’s scheme.

I still want to see that single lever shifter, though.  Vivo, send us a pic.

Hit ‘more’ to see the official statement from Hayes Bicycle Group…

“It has recently been reported that the Hayes Bicycle Group will introduce a new derailleur and shifter at the upcoming Interbike trade show. This is not true.

We are constantly developing new technologies in our core competencies of brakes, wheels, and suspension.  In addition to our internal developments, we frequently receive and evaluate product proposals from outside parties. However, it is not our policy to make these discussions public. This story was leaked not by us, and reported without confirmation.”
