2010-colnago-clx-2-1

The 2010 Colnago CLX 2.0, while shown with Dura-Ace will come with two build options: Shimano Ultegra ($3,699) or Campagnolo Athena/Chorus ($4,059).  The CLX is characterized by two external ribs on the top and down tubes to increase the stiffness of the frame without making the ride harsh.  The curved seatstay is said to improve braking power.

The CLX 2.0 is also available as a frameset and in five total color combos: Green/White, Black, White, Red/White and Blue/White.  Frameset (frame/fork/HS/post) is $2,299.

2010-colnago-ace

The 2010 Colnago Ace is a new-for-2010 bike and comes as a complete bike built with Veloce for $3,035.  It’s a full carbon monocoque frame and gets new geometry with a headtube that’s about 20mm higher than traditional Colnago bikes for a less aggressive, more comfortable position.  This seems to be a trend over the past 18 months…lots of bike companies are introducing performance oriented road bikes with slightly relaxed geometry for club riders that may never race (though they could) but like to go fast and ride long distances.
