the-hive-revl-carbon-road-bike-brakes3File this under “awesome things from Interbike that we totally missed but have covered previously anyway“  The new REVL road brakes from The Hive are light (115g / wheel) and use full carbon fiber arms for an almost liquid appearance.  What’s new is that pricing and more details are available since our original post.

They use a dual pivot mechanism to increase braking force, and hardware is a mix of titanium and 7075 aluminum.  Besides the good looks, they’ve got a few nifty features.  There’s a quick release lever on the cable adjustment barrel that opens up 4mm of space to ease wheel changes, and the brake pad holsters and bolts are 7075 alloy.  MSRP is $399.95 for the set.
