Fans of Cane Creek’s Double Barrel shock, of which there are many, will be pleased to see that they’re following Rockshox’s lead in offering an air can option for a full DH-worthy rear shock. This could mean they’re looking to expand the DB shock into the Freeride/AM category.

If you’re unfamiliar with what makes the Double Barrel special, check out this tech post for a full run down, but the short of it is that no other shock offers quite as much simple, external adjustment for both compression and rebound. Everyone we’ve ever heard from that’s used one glows about it.

This one was spotted at the Fort William World Cup DH race by JCW over at Bikerader, more pics there.
