Pivot Cycles has bumped the wheelsize for their long travel trail bike, making the Firebird a dedicated 27.5 / 650B mountain bike.
The frame keeps the meticulous detail and engineering of Pivots alloy bikes, but gets revised geometry to handle the larger wheels. It also gets a bit slacker headtube, 66º, and a full 1.5″ headtube. Rear travel is 167mm (6.6″) with custom tuned Fox shocks and it’s built with a 160mm Fox 34 on the front.
Other details include built in ISCG05 tabs, floating front derailleur mount on the swing arm that’ll also work with their custom MRP LRP 2x chainguide and a 142×12 rear axle. More pics after the break…
