Coming in as low as 1410g for the pair, the new DT Swiss XMC 1200 mountain bike wheels will be offered in standard and boost, RS-1 front or thru axle, and sized for 27.5 and 29er.
Built around a new hookless tubeless ready carbon clincher rim, the wheels use all-new straight pull Spline hubs that are the lightest DT’s ever made. Those are connected with DT Aerolite and Aero Comp spokes to create wheels that are XC race light but durable enough for aggressive trail riding.

Called the “ultimate trail bike wheel”, the new hubs use their 36-tooth Ratchet System for quick engagement, helping you pick your way through the technical stuff and instantly accelerate everywhere else.
The hookless rim is 24mm wide on the inside (roughly 30mm external), making room for healthy doses of meaty rubber while giving the tires the right shape and support.

In a breath of fresh air, the wheels come with Centerlock-to-6 Bolt brake adapters and the XD Driver Body in the box. They also include tubeless rim tape, valve stems, a wheel bag and a Centering Tool. What’s a Centering Tool? It’s basically a Shimano-compatible external BB tool that they use to tighten Centerlock rotors (or their adapter) onto the hubs. When things moved to 15mm thru axles on the front, the standard cassette lock ring tool wouldn’t fit over the thru axle end caps, so DT switched to the larger lock rings and made them work with the common BB tool instead.
These new wheels are already spec’d on the new Orbea Occam, but with much brighter stickers. They’ll likely be showing up on other flagship models as they make their formal debut at Eurobike, but aftermarket sales won’t start until about February 2016.
