Back in January, Bell announced their new Super 2R model with integrated 360fly HD action camera. The helmet is their enduro lid with detachable chin bar, and the camera uses a special lens to pull light in from a full 360º span and captures the action from front, rear, right and left. But we’ll get to that. First, this freakin’ legit Boba Fett helmet…

If you recall last September’s licensing deal with Lucasfilm/Disney, Bell dropped jaws at Eurobike with these insanely awesome Boba Fett and Storm Trooper helmets, among others. The problem was, the studios required ongoing reviews and other TPS-report style bureaucracy, which continually delayed their release. So, long after the movie’s hullabaloo passed by, these helmets were released to the public. Surprisingly, some are still available, get them while you can…then nab the matching Von Zipper goggles to complete the look.

Throw in some hands free communication systems and you’re practically on Endor. Retail is $240 each, which is only a $20 premium over regular paint schemes.

If the force isn’t strong with you, there’s always the new Super 2R 360fly. At first glance, you don’t even know the camera is there.

The shell has been reworked to hold the camera nearly flush on the top, angled to capture a 360º panorama when your head’s tilted in the normal riding position.

This was a non-working dummy for display. The production models will pop out for charging and use either a cradle with integrated contacts or a micro USB port. Either method will also handle video syncing to your computer.

I picked up a Boba Fett helment the other day, and a Millennium Falcon youth helmet for my nephew. Fit is MUCH better than the Bell Star Pro. That thing is just weird.
