We got an exclusive first look at the new HT M1 XC pedal at the Taipei show, and now we’ve got a look at most of the color range…and news that they’re available in the U.S. through Bike Fettish. We’ve been testing one of their other pedals with a slightly larger cage and enjoying the clip in mechanism and durability, and the M1 simply brings that performance to a lighter, more XC package.

Smanie, whose name is Italian slang meaning “mania for sports”, is founded on the idea of making high performance saddles that are also eco-friendly. The saddles use recycled materials and are recyclable, and use “green” manufacturing processes.
They offer a range of saddles with various shapes and center relief channel depths and lengths, most available in multiple widths. The foam padding is athermic, which they say resists heat build up for better comfort. They’re now coming into the U.S. through Bike Fettish, who also distributes HT Components.
Ryde has been gradually expanding their rim range well beyond the attention grabbing (but perhaps not all that practical) ultralight Scandium rim into more functional rims like the Trace 35 enduro “plus” model.
Designed with a multi wall extrusion to make it stiff and strong, the rim bed is perforated to save weight. This expands their mountain bike like from the other three wide “traditional” tire mountain bike rims introduced at Eurobike two years ago. Now, they’ve got something for just about every tire width you’d want, up until fat bikes…but we think they’re working on those.
The number in the model name refers to the internal width, making it among the wider options out there and well suited for all the plus tires hitting the market.
The DP Comp Disc is a do-it-all road rim for pavement, gravel or cyclocross, that shaves some weight off the rim brake version since it doesn’t need to reinforce a brake track.
The DP Tour brings back the classic box section rim for those special retro builds, even offering it in this polished finish.
