Timbuk2 looks towards brighter times with a peek at their new spring collections

With winter setting in across the northern regions of the world, many clothing brands are currently promoting their latest and greatest cold weather gear. However San Francisco’s Timbuk2 is already looking ahead to springtime, when they’ll be adding a host of new and updated items to their vast lineup of cycling bags and accessories.

Timbuk2 has just announced two whole new collections, a special edition heritage line and some new additions to their TBH urban collection. If you’re thinking a new pack would be nice for next year, read on for a sneak preview of selected items from the brand’s new designs, fabrics and color palettes…

Edge Collection

This new collection of cycling specific bags features sleek designs with all the utility bike commuters need. Designed for all kinds of weather, the Edge packs include subtle but reflective mesh panels, vista loops for blinker lights, and detachable reflective rainflies.

Timbuk2 2017 Robin pack

The Robin Pack is a streamlined bag that doesn’t skimp on functional details, including a convenient magnetic closure. The Robin comes in Surplus, Flame or Jet Black colors, and sells for $179 USD.

Timbuk2 2017 Parker pack

A versatile bag for carrying small or big loads, the Parker Pack’s dual side gussets unzip to expand its capacity from 25 to 35L. The Parker is available in Surplus, Flame or Jet Black, and costs $219.

Rift Collection

Rift is Timuk2’s new line of lightweight, technical cycling bags that are still suitable for all weather conditions. These trimmed down packs were designed for quick, efficient commuting without sacrificing the key features riders need.

Timbuk2 2017 Rapid pack

The Rapid Pack is a machine washable 14L pack designed to haul your most essential goods. It features an internal shoe pocket, and a hydration pouch that fits most bladders up to 2L. The Rapid sells for $89 and comes in six colors.

Limited Edition Heritage Collection

If you like modern bags with traditional styling, check out Timbuk2’s Heritage Collection. New innovations have increased the functionality of their classic bags while maintaining the brand’s classic aesthetics.

Timbuk2 2017 Hyper Modern CMB bag

The aptly-named Hyper Modern CMB’s cordura nylon and tarpaulin exterior features 100% waterproof welded construction. It also includes a laptop pocket, magnetic buckles for easy one-handed use, and an ambidextrous shoulder strap. The Hyper Modern CMB comes in two sizes- the cost is $219 for a Small or $239 for a Medium. Color options are Gunmetal or Jet Black.

Timbuk2 2017 LTD Void pack

If you frequently get wet, how about a rolltop bag that’s not only weatherproof, it’s submersible! The 30L Ltd. Void pack can be compacted with its external compression straps if you’re packing light. The Void also has a ventilated back panel, laptop pocket, and an adjustable magnetic sternum strap. This pack comes in Gunmental or Jet Black, and sells for $229.

TBH Collection

The TBH line is comprised of thoughtfully appointed everyday bags with urban aesthetics, and for 2017 there’s a few new styles and colors on the way. The new TBH bags are available in either a lightweight polyester or soft canvas exterior.

The TBH Ramble Pack is a 27L bag with internal organization for small items and a laptop sleeve, plus dual side slip pockets. The pack’s zipper pulls are reflective and a vista loop accommodates a blinker light. The Poly versions cost $99 and canvas Rambles (as shown above) go for $139. There are too many color options to list so check out Timbuk2’s website to see them all.

Timbuk2’s spring 2017 collections will be available in February. In the meantime, keep an eye on their website for updates.
