Our first look at Mike Pryde’s new endeavor came last fall, and now he’s leaking a few more photos of  Tere, the first bike from Chapter2.

As we learned, it’ll be an aero road bike available with either rim or disc brakes, and they’ll introduce it with one stock colorway and one limited edition. We’ve posted a few of the latest pics here, which show a few of the design features…

Sharp lines and intersecting angles give it a unique look, particularly on the back side of the head tube and fork legs.

Dropped seatstays should mean better compliance for a smoother ride. And looks like it’ll have plenty of tire clearance, too.

Looks like flat mount and thru axles for the disc brakes. We’ve heard rumor there’ll be a thru axle standard for rim brake bikes coming, so maybe these will carry over to the rim breaker, too? get on their email list or find them on social media to see more sneak peeks as they’re released.

It’s bound to look good. The first few models released under the Neil Pryde brand were done by BMW’s product design studio, DesignWorks and they looked incredible. The Alize was nicely sculpted and the graphics were on point. Not sure the Bura was done by them though. Whatever the case, looking forward to seeing the final results. Hoping the frameset comes in reasonably affordable (<$2900).

Details look good. I wonder how they came to this name, “Tere” means “Hello” in Estonian 🙂

The problem with such teaser campaigns is managing the disappointment when every body find out it’s a road bike.

Plus I hope they do something with that awful wrinkled resin rich finish on the carbon when they paint over it…..

right? the bike industry has such low standards when it comes to carbon epoxy composites. what a wrinkled mess. too many folks out there awarding this kind of crap as “amazing” when quite the opposite is true.

Thru axle standard for rim brake bikes? OMG this is getting out of hand.

You’d think for a promotional photo they would at least make sure that the hoods are set up straight.
