The new Elite Direto direct-drive indoor cycling trainer comes with a new optical torque sensor to measure your power output with +/-2.5% accuracy, certified using a slew of new Lorenz machines at their factory. Add in a slope mimicry of up to 14%, and they’re saying it’s the best featured trainer for under a grand…
Using German-made Lorenz measurement machines, they can guarantee readings accuracy within 0.005% 0.05%. Each trainer will be put through the testing machine, calibrated, then shipped with a trackable number so they can identify any issues down the road should they arise.
Resistance runs up to 1400 watts at 40km/h equivalent, giving you plenty to push against for the hardest intervals. And wide fold-out legs keep stable for those sprints.
It transmits your ride data via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth Smart 4.0. Those formats are widely supported and will be compatible with TrainerRoad, Sufferfest and Zwift. 
Their My-E training program comes with it and includes a 12-month subscription. It’s available for desktop (Windows, OS X) and mobile (Android, iOS), and the mobile version has an in-app purchase that unlocks pedal stroke analysis so you can see where in your pedaling circles you’re actually pedaling circles, and where you’re pedaling squares.
Available in September for $899, compatible with standard QR and 142×12 thru axles. Cassette not included.
