Cane Creek’s Ergo Control bar ends are as popular as ever. In the short time between noticing that they were back and getting the details from Cane Creek, the brand tells us they’ve already sold through 500 pairs. That’s a lot of bar ends in just a few days.

According to Cane Creek, there’s not much to say – other than they’re just like the originals, and apparently just as popular. What made the Ergo Control bar ends so popular in the first place was their ergo shape that locks onto the end of the handlebar.

Also, unlike other bar end designs, the Ergo Controls center your hands at the bar, rather than out in front. This provides more control than your typical bar end, and is something we could see as a popular accessory on bike packing rigs.

Weighing in at 179g per pair, the bar ends are offered in black only and will clamp to any 7/8″ (22.2mm) bar. Pick up a pair for $27.50 before they’re gone… again.

Bar ends, fashion faux par, but half way into a 2500ft climb they are suddenly the greatest thing ever.

seems at least a few hundred people pedal their bikes up hill. Probably not eBike certified though.. CC should be integrating LED blinkers in the ends to get ISO cert on these.

Do they still function as the outer lock on ring for ODI lock on grips?

This style bar end was always around, from at least one other brand.

That is a different bar end for sure. The shape and rubber Cane Creek use both contribute to a nice feel for many hand sizes.

They look good. I’m always out there on the end of the bar looking for grip.

Combine these, a TOG and Ergon grips, I’m covered for every hand position while climbing and long distance gravel bashing.
