Drawing inspiration from England’s oldest independently owned automobile manufacturer, The Morgan Motor Company, the new Pashley-Morgan city bikes blend the speedy looks of the Morgan 3 with the bicycle brand’s classic British styling. The two-model rolling project will continue as long as there’s demand, and based on the looks, we suspect that may be for a good long while.

The frames are made in Pashley’s Stratford-upon-Avon factory using fillet brazed Reynolds 631 steel tubing. They get a curved top tube, frame mounted race plate, S-bend seatstays and track ends with a stainless steel face.

…powered by a Shimano Nexus dynamo hub. Wiring runs inside the fork leg and pops out of the crown to keep this bike looking properly dapper. Accents like the axle wing nuts are what really make this bike shine.

The Morgan Motor Company was founded in 1909. While this Morgan 3 Wheeler looks retro, in fact it was introduced in 2011, albeit as a modern homage to long history of making reverse trike three-wheeled vehicles. This one gets a V-Twin engine with claimed 0-60 times of 6 to 7 seconds depending on model, with a top speed of 115mph. Curb weight is as low as 585kg (1,290lb), giving it an excellent power to weight ratio. It’s purpose? Plain and simple, to make driving fun again. And these bikes? Why, their simple build and functional components should make riding to and fro quite fun, too.

  1. Morgan….please please please add a side mount bike carrier off the back-end passenger side to combine the two (bike running parallel to car)

The 3 wheeler is my favorite vehicle. So wish I could afford one.

    • It doesn’t appear tig welded, too big for tig welds on bicycle frame tube tubing. It’s more like unfiled brazing. Curtlo cycles and the defunct Gecko cycles builds the same way as does Brompton I believe. Unfiled brazing is not common in the bike industry so is often confused for rough tig welding although unfiled Brompton welds are beautifully done.

  2. Love the look of the PM-8 — but those ‘mudguards’ are both aesthetically questionable & functionally useless!
