Knoxville, TN is building some amazing trail on top of their already killer network of flowing XC to nearly DH level singletrack…all within spitting distance of downtown (and a new taco shop!). Now, they want to build more, so they’re giving away a full tricked out Transition mountain bike of your choice, with an assortment of parts from I9, Fox, Nox Composites and more! Here’s how you could win, and support better trails to ride!

PRESS RELEASE: The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club, along with its industry partners, is bringing you one of the coolest bike raffles in the history of charity bike raffles. This opportunity will not only offer you the chance to win a ridiculously awesome bike from Transition but also the good feels that come with knowing you’ve helped to put a trail in the woods. Enter at www.yearroundgetdown.com.

The bike will be your choice of any full suspension Transition trail/enduro model. We’re guessing the winner will pick the Patrol, Sentinel or Smuggler, since those are available in carbon and with the super-premium XO1 build kits. This is where Tennessee Valley Bicycles will get together with the winner, Industry Nine and NOX Composites to build a top level wheelset. Do you like all the colors Industry Nine has to offer with your Downhill Layup NOX Farlow rims or will you choose a black on black on black stealth set? The choice is yours. FOX will also upgrade your suspension with a smattering of Factory level forks and seatposts. The rear shock may also be available to get that Factory tune.

The trail project involves taking one of Knoxville, Tennessee’s ride-through parks and adding three DH lines as well as a rock armored year round through trail for those muddy, winter months. There will be a high difficulty trail, a medium difficulty trail and a fun difficulty trail for the gravity lines. The location of these new trails is adjacent to the bike park style flow trails at the Baker Creek Preserve. If you’ve not been to Knoxville to ride, it’s worth the trip.

AMBC and representatives from Transition will be drawing the winner on November 3rd at the AMBC Fall Fest bike party. You’ll be able to watch live on the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club Facebook Page as the winner is announced. It could be you!

This is Rad. Not a local raffle, either. Anyone anywhere can win the bike build. Go ride Knoxville too, if you’ve never been. It’s great.

So many people pass though Knoxville on I-40. It would be a great stop for a “trail” break.
