After too many months of teasing, the all-new Öhlins DH38 dual crown downhill mountain bike fork is here. And it promises a lot, saying it’s the fork for everything from your weekend park session to the Red Bull Rampage. The fork brings their twin tube damping to the long travel game, along with a host of other tech to make it easy to use on any enduro, park or DH bike.
While not technically marketed as an enduro fork, it can drop down to 160mm of travel, picking up just under where their RFX36 fork tops out. But the max 200mm travel is where it was designed to shine, with their larger TTX 18 cartridge kit, DH Boost axle spacing with moto-inspired floating axle clamp, and DH tuned damping settings.
The news for today is that the fork is finally starting to ship, and should be available in most markets by end of February.
