We’re all for going au naturale, especially when it comes to the stuff we’re putting into and onto our bodies. So we’re pretty stoked on all three of these new products from Chamois Butt’r, Hammer Nutrition and Farmpit. Starting with the most cycling specific, the latest version of Chamois Butt’r chamois cream replaces the standard stuff with coconut oil, shea butter and other good stuff…and it ditches the parabens and other bad stuff.

Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil round out the main ingredients. Retail is $17.99 (get it here with free Prime shipping) for an 8oz tube.

Hammer Nutrition CBD recovery balm

Hammer Nutrition has moved quickly into the CBD business (isn’t everyone these days?) with tinctures and other stuff. This muscle balm uses phytocannabinoid-rich hemp oil with lavender and eucalyptus oils and little else to provide a full spectrum CBD option. Retail is $49.99 for a 2oz jar, and they say shelf life is an impressive 18 months if you keep it in a cool spot in your home.

Farmpit natural deodorant is our new favorite

farmpit natural deodorant with organic ingredients that actually works

If you’ve been looking for an all-natural deodorant and been sorely disappointed in their long term effectiveness, join the club. So have we. But our friends at Defeet just turned us on to Farmpit, which uses organic coconut oil, cornstarch and beeswax as a base for other essential oils and extracts. Not only do all three “flavors” smell amazing, they also work. I’m going on day two of standing around a hot, sunny food festival full of blazing grills and smokers, a little running around with laser tag in the woods, and zero showers, and I’m still smelling fresh with only a quick touchup application this morning. Works great on long hot rides, too. This is the first non-anti-perspirant deodorant I’ve ever found that lasts more than a couple hours, strongly recommend it.

Hammer Nutrition does not sell on Amazon. You can go to your local shop and purchase it.

Wait, I just want to the Chamois Butt’r website and it says *** “all Chamois Butt’r® products are paraben free”. ***

What the heck Bike Rumor! I use that product. You basically told me it has parabens in it. Then I did a 15 second search and I find out that is not the case. Not that parabens are likely to kill you (not immediately anyway).

Hammer Nutrition CBD Balm provides a “BROAD SPECTRUM CBD OPTION”. This is very different than a “Full Spectrum CBD option”, as stated in the article. All Hammer Nutrition CBD products are Broad Spectrum.

The article states that Hammer Nutrition CBD Balm is Full Spectrum, but this is inaccurate. All Hammer Nutrition CBD products are Broad Spectrum.
