So you got a flat on your tubeless tire. Now what? If you’re carrying a tire plugging tool, it should be as easy as stabbing your tire, reinflating, and pedaling away. Truthfully, it’s not always that easy which is why companies like Blackburn continue to refine their tire plugging tools. Their newest Pro Plugger uses not one, but two tire plugs at the same time to ensure proper sealing the first time around.
Compared to the original Plugger, the Pro Plugger is quite a bit smaller while storing 5 plug refills.
The kit includes a mounting sleeve that can either be zip tied or velcro strapped to your top tube, seat post, or other location for easy access.
Then when you need to plug, you can load up one or two tire plugs at a time depending on the size of the puncture. As a bonus, the Pro Plugger includes a valve core tool on the cap for those times that a flat means adding more sealant or adding air quickly to reseat a bead.
Sold as the Pro Plugger kit for $40 which includes the tool, mounting strap, and 10 plugs, the tool is also available as part of the Pro Plugger CO2 inflator kit which adds a dual mounting bracket for your water bottle bosses and a Core CO2 inflator with 25g cartridge for $60.
