What’s better than the all around performance of the HED Vanquish 4? That same performance all blacked out with a stealth appearance. That’s exactly what you’ll get with the new HED Stealth Vanquish 4s, but as the Limited Edition moniker would imply, these will be in limited supply…

HED Stealth Vanquish 4 limited edition wheels will vanish after just 50 pairs

Starting with the Vanquish 4 rim profile, these wind tunnel tested and proven rims offer a 40mm depth, and a 21mm internal width with 30mm external width. That should make them perfect for a modern road bike (optimized for 23-28mm tires) or even as a fast gravel wheelset.

For the Stealth LE version, HED worked with Chris King to offer a U.S. made hubset to match the U.S. made rim set. Offered in 100 x 12 and 142 x 12mm thru axles with Centerlock brake mounts, the 24h hubs are laced to the rims with Sapim CX-Ray spokes.

Offered in 700c, the Stealth wheelset will be limited to just 50 pairs which will sell for $2,600 with a double padded wheel bag.

  1. I’ve always said HED/CK make the best wheels. US-made has never looked so good. I’m so happy they teamed up to make these bad boys – would look amazing on my road bike..will they last til Christmas??

  2. Whoa. Those are gorgeous! Might be time to sell the SCS Diverge and get me a normally spaced bike to build around them. BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK FTW

  3. Dare I say the perfect wheel for a Black Friday (ish) release? I bet they are real fast too. Excellent job, hed. Way to provide us with the wheel we need. Everyone, get your credit cards ready and try to beat me over to the site!

  4. These are some beautiful wheels, love the sleek design and the black out look. With the HED style and reliability of Chris King how could you go wrong. Looks like a fantastic ride, keep up the good work HED.

  5. The first question that popped into my head was, “what bike can I put these on?!” then I remembered day one of design school – black goes with anything. Cool look, HED, these could easily become a legacy wheelset that gets passed from bike to bike for years to come!

  6. Nice, until I saw the King hubs. Way overhyped. Expensive, maintenance intensive, flawed freehub system. Could have gone White Industries, not perfect but better in every way.

    • WTF!?! For reals? I was breaking hubs every 6mo until I found kings. Now hubs last me 10-15 years and I have only retired them to upgrade to new standards.
