Ciamillo announced the new Zero G20, their latest in lightweight road rim brakes. Based on their carbon fiber Lekki8 design with inline dual pivots, the G20’s opt for alloy to decrease the price by over 50%. They’re consumer-direct only, and available to pre-order now for early 2020 delivery.
Ciamillo Zero G20 road bike rim brakes
Ciamillo is perhaps best known for their carbon fiber Lekki8 road brake calipers, and now they’re taking that technology into new materials. Details are slim as of now, but they appear to be primarily made out of some type of alloy – with the same basic design as the carbon version.
They use an inline dual pivot design, with a single mounting bolt (sorry, no direct-mount version as of now). Ciamillo doesn’t have exact production weight figures yet, but promises only a “slight weight increase” over the Lekki8 (which weigh 144g per set with pads and all hardware).
Ciamillo is taking pre-orders now, with the official launch on January 1, 2020. They will offer the standard version for $290 per pair, and an SL version with full titanium hardware for $350. The Lekki8 carbon version continues to be available for $679.
